- Covie was my previous venture specialising in conference engagement technology
- We theorised that one of the common problems at conference was having enough 'high value' conversations to maximise the ROI of attending.
- 'Delv' is the product name we devised for a MVP conference communications experience
- The main assumption we were testing is whether attendees would value a comms experience in the context of a busy conference
The Challenge
- Approached a popular technology conference 'Pause Fest' who agreed to showcase and road test Delv
- Created a web app that attendees could access via QR code at the conference
- Used a range of low-code tools to 'sticky tape' together a fit for purpose comms solution
The Project
- Created a brand, workflow, screens and collateral
- Spend 2 days onsite supporting attendees, answering questions and canvassing feebdack
- Required some development work to augment our basic technical capability
- Successful created and delivered a digital communications experience on time
The Outcome
- Hundreds of conversations and meetings facilitated
- Onboarded dozens of attendees and received first hand feedback
- Positive testimonials from festival organisers and attendees
- MVP a success - however little did we know that only a week later a pandemic would postpone conference indefinitely.
